Kouzzina by Cat Cora: Disney World's Newest Celebrity Chef Signature Restaurant

One of the newest restaurants in Walt Disney World, Kouzzina by Cat Cora, is Chef Cora's first and only signature restaurant!

This long awaited hot spot is the result of a collaboration between Chef Cat Cora - one of the Food Network's Iron Chefs and executive chef of Bon Appetit Magazine - and Disney World, which is getting more well-known for its cuisine year after year.

Menu items will include some of Chef Cora's favorite recipes reminiscent of her Greek and Mediterranean heritage. Be sure to sample the Metaxa Ouzo, a chilled shot of the national drink of Greece, followed by the Kouzzina sampler, an appetizer platter including marinated olives, spiced cashews, Dolmades, Tzatziki, and hummus and pita, or perhaps the Spanakopita - traditional phyllo pie with spinach, feta, leeks, and dill. From there, try the Pastitsio - Greek-style lasagna with cinnamon-stewed meat sauce and béchamel - or the Spiced Briami, which is oven-roasted vegetables, oregano, mazithra cheese, and herbed orzo. For dessert, consider trying a selection of Greek Cookies (the Cora family favorites!) or the Loukoumades - Greek doughnuts with honey. (Don't worry! The menu has a glossary attached!)

Cora's restaurant will also feature a line of wines developed by Cat herself, along with Kouzzina Press Pot Coffee, and Kouzzina house-made Sangria.

To celebrate the opening further, Cat Cora will be appearing as part of Disney World's 2009 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival this Fall. You can make reservations now (407-WDW-FEST) to watch (and eat!) as Chef Cora creates a three-course lunch around the theme of cooking with family and friends! This all happens on Friday, October 30th, 2009, from 10AM-12PM. Cost is $130 per person.
